Terms & Conditions

These terms cover your use of website-test.cabid.net and the event services Southern Table Events provides. Using the site means you accept them.

1. What we are

We are an entertainment and event production company. We stage casino-themed evenings using our own tables, equipment and crew. We are not a casino. We do not operate games of chance for money, accept or place bets, hold stakes, or provide any gambling service, and nothing on this site is an offer to do so.

2. Fun money

Chips used at our events are promotional tokens. They are issued as part of the event, cannot be purchased, carry no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, goods or services, and have no value away from the table. Leaderboards and tournament results are for entertainment; any prize is non-monetary and stated in writing beforehand.

3. Age

Guests must be 18 years of age or older to play at our tables. We may ask for proof of age and may decline a seat where age cannot be established.

4. Quotes and bookings

A quote is an indication based on the information you give us and stays valid for 30 days. A booking is confirmed only when we have both signed a written agreement and the deposit stated in it has been received. Table mix, crew numbers and timings are set out in that agreement.

5. Changes and cancellation

Postponements requested more than 21 days before an event are moved without penalty where we have a free date. Inside 21 days, costs already committed — freight, crew rostering, printed layouts — become payable. Cancellation terms are set out in full in the booking agreement.

6. Your venue

You are responsible for access to the venue, for the floor space and power described in the agreement, and for any venue rules, permits or licences that apply to your function. We will tell you what we need in writing well ahead of the date.

7. Behaviour at the tables

Our crew may close a table or refuse service where guest behaviour puts people or equipment at risk. We would much rather talk to you first, and normally do.

8. Website content

Text, layout, photographs and graphics on this site belong to us and may not be copied for commercial use without written permission. Descriptions of events, capacities and timings are illustrative and may change.

9. Liability

We provide the site as it is and do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of error. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
