The croupiers
Eleven crew on the roster, most of them from hospitality rather than gaming. We hire for the ability to explain a rule twice without sighing, then train the dealing. It is the right way round for the events we run.

We build and maintain our own tables, which is why they are level and why the felt is not shiny. Everything else is people.

The tables
Built in our Penrose workshop from ply, steel and wool felt, sized to fit through a standard doorway on a trolley. We re-felt every table each winter, which is unglamorous and the reason they still look right under lights.

What we will not do
We do not take bets, hold stakes, cash out chips, or run anything where money changes hands over a table. Not because it is awkward — because it would make us a different kind of business, and one we are not licensed or interested to be.

Where we work
Auckland weekly, Wellington and Christchurch monthly in season, and anywhere else in the country that a truck can reach. Travel is always itemised separately so you can see what the distance actually costs.
